A Good Read
In the classroom I have to plan to include nonfiction reading as part of my instruction. I am just first drawn to fiction stories (realistic, fantasy, fairy tales, etc.
However, when you see the books I’m reading it is plain to see that I enjoy a lot of nonfiction. I am currently reading Katie Couric’s book.
I am re-reading Naturally Thin.
I just read Fit From Within.
All nonfiction! I promise to later include a book review of these books.
And speaking of reading, meet my new toy! Husband bought it for me as a “Done with National Boards” gift. I bought him one for his birthday in the fall and I had Kindle envy. Now we’re a book-technie nerd couple… just perfect for each other!
The cover is from Amazon.
What books are you reading?

I’m a kindle nerd myself. I love it. I’m reading some non-fiction as well. Weekends at Bellevue & Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Yay! We have a Kindle and I really love being able to lay my hands on a book RIGHT NOW when needed. Congrats on being doing with National Boards!
I LOVED Fit from Within! How are the other two? Should I check them out? You keep me inspired! Thinking of you lots
I love my Kindle also! I am currently reading Women, Food and God. Have you read that one?
Thanks for your comment! I’m SO awful with change BUT I have time to adjust in this situation. I also have to keep reminding myself that I don’t have to make a decision right now. Who knows, Ryan could be feeling like himself in a few months!
I’m currently reading Crazy Sexy Diet, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Water For Elephants. I downloaded WFE onto my phone so I feel like I have a teeny tiny Kindle!
I love my Kindle! I’m reading Born to Run right now and about 8 other things. After my grad school classes were over for the semester I went crazy with downloading things!
Let me know how Fit from Within is – I debated getting that one too!
I just read Naturally Thin and I found it to be quite a breath of fresh air
I blogged about my thoughts here: http://howtoloseweightand.blogspot.com/2011/04/read-naturally-thin-by-bethenny-frankel.html
ooh can’t wait for your reviews! I’m a BIG fiction reader, not so much with the non-fiction – eek! I just finished Laura Lippman’s audio book today (another thing to fall) – fun mystery; and earlier this week I finished Holly Ephron’s Never Tell a Lie – LOVED/more suspsenseful/less fun mystery. Now i’ve started Anita Shreve’s Testimony (audio book about an underage sex scandal at a private school) and Cathy Lamb’s Such a Pretty face (book about a girl who has just lost 170 pounds after having a heart attack at 30)- both are GREAT so far!
